SBFSS sailors,As they say, even a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time, and for a change the wind forecast was pretty much spot on. We saw 10 kts with gusts pushing over 20 throughout the race. Very sporty indeed.Five crews lined up for the start with three <34′ boats setting off at noon and the others shortly after. From the looks of it, most boats were able to fetch the B mark with a single tack. From there all zipped down to R28 without incident. Midnight Run and Kraken Up toyed with spinnakers on the third leg from R28 to C but after several knockdowns, both boats opted for smaller canvas while dodging the Etchells fleet. Our five boats spread out for the remainder of the race with Ran chomping away at the five minute head start to finish first on adjusted F2F time. Midnight Run put in another solid performance to take the PHRF win.
