It is Monday and we are celebrating Earth Day all week long!

The State of California has a green boating education program known as Dockwalking. Participants attend a training session, then receive information packets to distribute to the boating public. In return for the goodies in the packet, the public is asked to fill out a survey to see what they know about green boating. It includes information such as pump outs, oil and regulations around other pollutants.

If you would be interested in going through the training, even if you don’t want to actually walk the docks once everything opens back up, you can find out how to attend a virtual training on the state website. There is a training coming up this Saturday, and a couple of more in May.

Not interested in the dockwalking program? Feel like you need more information before you start educating others? Check out the green boating page for more information.

Now that you have been receiving these emails for a month, perhaps there is a topic that you keep hoping to see come up? Just let me know and I will see what I can do! After Earth Day week, of course.
