[SDSPS Members] SDSPS Sail Fleet July Race

All,

 

The July SDSPS Sail Fleet race will be on Buckminster Fuller's birthday, 12
July.  The race will be an easy jaunt (for the lunch time crowd) down the
North Island side of the bay and only one visit to G1!  Your input, after
the race, what you thought of the course is welcome.  Any course you can
make up or would like to see is also welcome.  I shall endeavor to sound one
long horn one minute before the ten minute horn; hence one long horn 11
minutes before, one horn ten minutes before, one horn five minutes before;
and one horn at start.  If I run out of air please start at 1200.  Please
monitor VHF channel 68 for any last minute changes!

 

If you have a boat and would like to race or if you would like to crew on
someone else's boat, please call co-chair Mike Sampsel at 619 421-3345 and
notify him of your intent to race so he can coordinate extra crew and boats.


 

We would also like to provide an opportunity for the Sea Scouts to sail with
us.  If you have room for one or more Sea Scouts please contact Mike
Philbrook via e-mail. His address is philbroo at cox.net. 

 

If we don't see you at the SWYC bar after the race please call my home
phone, 858-487-8491 ASAP with your finish time.  You may also e-mail me with
your race results and any comments, suggestions or anecdotes about the race.
I appreciate any input to add to the race results report.
