[SDSPS Members] SDSPS Sail Fleet Race for October

Dear Don and all,

We should have seen this conflict earlier in the year, however, here it is
and we need to act.

October is the District Conference
October 20 is the Predicted Log Race sponsored by SDSPS.

It would be best to have Sail Fleet at any time other than these since we
encourage all members to participate in each of these events.

That leaves:
October 6, this weekend
October 27, the last weekend of the month.

Having the Sail Fleet this weekend is a little short notice.

Therefore, I suggest we postpone Sail Fleet until Saturday, October 27.

What does everyone think?

Thanks,
Ted Bowler

Don et. al.:

Yes, the October SDSPS cruiser navigation / predicted log race is
scheduled for Saturday, 20 October. The luncheon will take place at
Coronado YC west lawn, as usual, beginning about 12:30 PM. We expect to
be finished with lunch and awards before 3 PM. Based on the wide
interest and participation of many sail fleet members as Observers,
participants, or attendees in this event, I do not think that October 20
is a good date for a SDSPS sail fleet race.
