Don,
    YES, on moving the sail fleet race to a date different than 13 October.  It should be noted also, that the proposed new date of 20 October is the date of the only Cruiser Navigation Contest (CNC) that SDSPS sponsors all year. At the conclusion of the CNC, SDSPS hosts a luncheon and has an awards ceremony at the Coronado Yacht Club.  Some of the CNC racers, and many of the observers come from SDSPS so there could likely be a time conflict for those racers/observers who might also wish to participate in the sail fleet event.
        Don, you might want to contact Dave Weimer who is in charge of the CNC to see if some accommodation could be made on the start time of the sail fleet race based upon Dave's estimate of when the CNC will end.

  This invitation is in direct competition with the District 28 Fall Conference in Carlsbad. San Luis Rey Power Squadron has invested heavily in time and resources to pull this off and organizing a Sail Fleet Race may put our budget and participation in jeopardy.
