Hello All,
    The new year has arrived and the old Vessel Safety Check decals have expired.  We are in the process of getting our allotment of 2007 decals and urge everyone to take advantage of our free safety inspections done by members of our own San Diego Sail & Power Squadron.  
    An inspection will get you a discount on certain safety equipment at West Marine so there is a financial incentive to having your boat examined as well as the comfort in knowing that you have all the required up to date safety equipment on board.  This is not a law enforcement activity - just a public service to identify  all the safety equipment that is required for a boat of your type and size.
    To make an appointment with one of our friendly inspectors, just call them directly or, if you're shy, call me.  Our certified Vessel Examiners are Dick Barck, Ed Brunjes, Tom Fota, Bob Hubbard, Katie Law, Shaun McArdle, Gordo Parham, and Elaine Townsend.
