[SDSPS Members] SDSPS Sail Fleet September Race

Fellow members,

 

After several boats missed the Sail Fleet's annual race to Mission Bay
in August there were some requests for another ocean race.  So, the
September race will be yet another opportunity for the Sail Fleet to
poke their noses out into the Pacific.  It will be a simple race out the
right side of the San Diego Bay channel to SD-1 (G3 for the smaller
boats) and back.  If the winds are fair it could be a single tack out, a
jibe and a single tack back.  It could happen; but the winds are often
tricky as you re-enter the bay.  We're hoping for a larger fleet than we
had in August.  Won't you join us on the bay on Saturday the 8th?  If
you would like to crew, looking for crew or would just like to go along
for a pleasant day's sail please call Mike Sampsel at 619 421-3345.
Skippers needing crew may also call Mike.  The September course is
attached.  For those unable to open the file the course is also
presented below.  Please note that we start/finish at G17!  Watch that
finish line!
